On Friday, June 5, 2026, at DRV PNK Stadium in Miami, FL, in their second and final preparation match before the 2026 World Cup, our Grenadiers (ranked 82nd in the world) faced Peru (ranked 51st) in a friendly. They were defeated 2-1 in the final minutes of the game, after dominating for much of the match. Summary : The international friendly match between Haiti and Peru, played on Friday, June 5, 2026, in Miami, ended in a 2-1 victory for Peru. Haiti took an early lead thanks to a goal by Wilson Isidor in the 16th minute (0-1), assisted by Louicius Deedson. After leading for much of the match, Haiti conceded two quick goals in the final quarter of an hour. Renzo Garcés equalized for Peru in the 81st minute (1-1). Jairo Vélez scored the winning goal for Peru just three minutes later, in the 84th minute (2-1).
